My Design Center/IQ Designer Pattern Fills with Lori Wallace
Let's explore the built-in fills in My Design Center/IQ Designer. This will be a two-part class. In our first class we'll be using the built-in shapes along with the pattern fills to create a trapunto type block. We'll explore combining 2 fills to create a unique background fill. We'll also learn how to take a built-in embroidery design, turn that into an outline, then combine 2 fills for a unique look. For a one-of-a-kind look, let's use an outlined embroidery design and turn that into a background fill. Want to create your own background fill or quilting pattern? You can do ot with the help of your scanning frame.
In class two, in the event we don't get through everything in the previous class, we'll pick up where we left off then finish with making a fabric bag from everything you've learned. If you have an embroidery design you want to incorporate on your fabric bag, make sure you have that loaded on your machine or on a USB stick. If you prefer, use a built-in design or use a built-in decorative letter. (The design on the fabric bag is from Tattered Stitches.)
