Beginner Rope Bowl - Level 1 & 2
In class, you will learn:
Rope selection, Bias cutting, and adding fabric to rope
Rope positioning to create controlled tension and rigidity
Bowl shaping and constructing bowl walls using different angles
Adding fabric to bowl base using decorative stitching
Finished technique with a rope swirl and covered buttonSupply List for Class:
- Sewing machine must have a zig zag stitch.
- Open toe presser foot
- Extra bobbin
- Extra needles #14 jean needles
- Frixion pen (dark color…heat erasable)
- Rotary cutter
- 6” X 24” Ruler with 60-degree marking
- Scissors with small tip/ seam ripper
- Flat head pins and Clips
- Cream color thread and a pre wound bobbin with cream color thread
- ½ yard fabric of your choice (Batiks preferred, but you may use cotton)
- You may choose to use coordinating thread on your fabric. If so, bring both threads to switch when necessary
- Cloth measuring tape/ Scotch tape
Kit includes : Rope, glue stick, cardboard, heat bond, and embellishment
