- Zigzag sewing machine in good working order
- White/Beige thread
- Fat quarter for lining
- Fat quarter of pocket
- 1/3 yd or 42" webbing for straps
- Fusible batting (16" x 24")
- Fusible interfacing (24" x 1-1/4") if using selvage strips for straps
- Zigzag and Open-toed feet
- Scissors
- Marking pencil
- Hemming gauge
- Measuring tape
Supplies Provided by Teacher
- Selvage strips
- Zipper for one pocket
If you want to collect selvages from your own fabrics, rip off the selvage with th maker/producer's name and the color-coded dots/characters for the fabric print. The selvages need to be at least 16"-17" long and 1-1/2" wide.
